Instructor Training Program Overview
Nathan Layne Barbershop Academy offers two options for our instructor training program:
Our 900-hour course for students with less than three years experience as a licensed barber in Idaho.
Our 500-hour course for prospective students with more than three years of relevant experience.
In both programs of study, students in the instructor training program will learn:
- Advanced barbering practices
- How to oversee current barbering and barbering stylist students at our barber school in Idaho
- Ways to provide effective guidance and feedback to students
- Health and safety protocols

We’re always on the lookout for qualified instructors who can join our team after completing their training. Although we can’t hire every graduate from our instructor program, we work individually with each student to prepare them for life after graduation.
